Daisa is proud that her DIL has won. She mocks Sandhya and then takes gulaab jamoon from Sandhya and takes some from her DIL’s and gives it to Suraj to taste and make sure that Daisa has not done any cheating. Meanwhile, she notices Sandhya’s burnt hand and asks Suraj to take her to the doctor immediately. Suraj is silent. He comes near the cooking table, keeps the plate and just walks out, starts his scooter and goes from there. Daisa is shocked by his behavior. She defends Sandhya saying what is with win or loss, how come he got so angry for just this small thing that he left his wife helpless. All the other women too badmouth Suraj. Daisa offers to take Sandhya with her in the jeep which Sandhya refuses. Organizers call for the winners to distribute the prizes. Sandhya packs the things and carries those bags and walks from there.
Chavvi is in the hotel not knowing what to do but then Dilip comes there. She tries to explain him but he gets angry and moves out. She goes behind him and states she is feeling sorry for whatever happened and now, she likes him too. Dilip listens to it and tells she is too late.
In the house, Bhabho is teaching chavvi some stitching. Bhabhasa is drinking his fifth cup of tea. Bhabho scolds him and he says it is his superstitious belief that whenever Bhabho goes to cooking contest, he used to drink 5 cups of tea and Bhabho won every time. Now, he is drinking 5 cups of tea for his DIL’s win. Meena comes there. Chavvi tells Bhabho to check lice in her head so Bhabho calls Meena to stitch. She checks and nothing was found but Chavvi wants Meena to check her head.
Suraj comes there. Chathuri gets excited and asks about who won and even goes out to see Sandhya but does not find her. All ask about the results. Suraj is silent and Daisa comes there telling she will inform them. She starts complaining about Suraj to Bhabho that he is so heartless that he left his wife behind and returned home as she did not win. She even tells that Sandhya had burnt her hand and also refused Daisa’s help. She would be coming by walk carrying those heavy bags with her burnt hand. Bhabho tells there is no wonder Sandhya lost but she cannot believe about Suraj’s behavior. She goes to him and asks whether Daisa is saying the truth. He nods his head. She gets overwhelmed and asks him why is he acting so rudely with Sandhya in front of people, whether he is the same Suraj who cut his hand to take Sandhya to the honor function in the college, is he the same who woke all night and burned fire so that Sandhya does not get cold at Maasa’s place and how could he behave differently now. Suraj is still silent. Bhabhasa is worried. Meena is surprised to know all those things happened at Maasa’s place. Suraj leaves from there.
Sandhya is returning carrying those heavy bags. Suraj lits the stove and keeps the kadai over it. Both have a series of flashbacks. She remembers Suraj’s words when he asks her how Ankiur left the price tag in the saree to show them inferior and Suraj remembers telling why would they bear all the mistakes done by her brother. Then Sandhya remembers in the shop when he asks whether she has fulfilled her wifely duties. Suraj remembers him telling that instead of teaching cooking to her, it is better to eat whatever is cooked and it is his fate. Sandhya remembers when he forces her to participate in the cooking contest in front of the shop and Suraj remembers her answer that if it keeps up Bhabho’s pride, she will participate in the cooking contest. She remembers how he was discouraging and taunting her to back out from the contest and Suraj remembers how he was yelling at her during the contest. She remembers how she burnt her hand and Suraj left from that place. Suraj remembers her burnt hand and holds the hot kadai with both hands and is tearful. Suddenly, Bhabhasa opens the shutters and sees how Suraj is holding the hot kadai. Suraj is surprised to see Bhabhasa and asks him if he had any work. Bhabhasa tells he came to scold Suraj but now he is trying to understand what is happening with Suraj as his actions are different and his thinking is something else and asks what he is hiding.
Precap: Suraj tells Bhabhasa that one of the marriage vows is the couple would provide happiness for each other and he clearly understands that Sandhya’s happiness lies in moving out of this relationship and he wants to free her from
